Extraordinary Astilbe Bare Root Plants for Sale | Purple Lance

The free spirit and undeniable charm of Purple Lance are impossible to overlook. In spectacular sequence, the enormous, feathery plumes begin with vivid red buds that swell and burst into bright magenta bloom before slowly shading to purple. How's that for drama?! The flowers are proudly displayed on strong spires reaching up to 48" tall, beautifully anchored by lacy, dark green foliage. As stunning as they are in bloom, these beauties hold their color well even as they start to dry, lending extra months of brilliant color. Plus, they're fantastic for cutting (fresh or dried) and highly attractive to butterflies. Enjoy!

Blooming in So CA!

I thought I’d give Purple Lance a try in a low, shaded spot that gets more water than the rest of the garden. Purple Lance is happy, and the blooms were beautiful. I never thought I’d see an Astilbe blooming in my 10a garden! I love it!
