Known as Plantain Lily, Hostas are pollinator friendly, and attract hummingbirds. Hostas are the ultimate shade plants. Foliage options include every shade of green, many with contrasting white or cream accents. Most flower in midsummer with spires of white or lavender. Hosta leave and flowers are surprisingly useful in arrangements.
