Fragrant White Freesia Bulbs For Sale Online | Single White

Single white freesias have gorgeous ivory blooms that are highly sought after for wedding bouquets, but you can enjoy a celebration every day when you grow them in your garden!

The delicate, fragrant, single white blooms dance atop sturdy, arching bright green stems. Freesias make excellent cut flowers and do well when planted in the fall outside in zones 9 and above. Plant in containers or as annuals in the spring in cooler regions.

Plants will grow 18 to 24 inches and do well in partial shade with moist, well drained soil. Low-maintenance cut flower favorites.

Very easy to grow!

This review may be a bit premature. I am "forcing" bulbs for the first time, and Easy to Grow had a blog post about how freesias can be forced. Out of the 15 corms, one looked questionable (it didn't have the skin anymore), but I planted it anyway (results on that one TBD). I split the remaining ones to have small and large ones mixed together, potted seven in a 6-in. pot with potting mix and minimal flower/bulb fertilizer, watered, and placed it in an eastern-facing window in my basement (~60-65F) for a week while I waited for more containers. After that week, I have at least 5 that have started sprouting, which is much faster than I expected! I just potted the remaining eight in two smaller pots and ordered some double form corms to start later in the winter because these were so easy. The number that can go in a small pot is also perfect for a sunny office window (where I plan to have mine) during the winter months.
