Taller Than Described

Purple Taiheijo was one of the first dahlias I planted and it was massive. The color was deeper than shown in this photo, more like the center color. It was also taller than expected and was 4 - 4 1/2 feet tall. The flowers were so big, they overwhelmed my vases. so the plants, because they retained all their flowers, became a real focal point in the garden.
