Large White Starflower Bulbs for Sale | Alberto Castillo

Proudly named after its creator, Starflower Alberto Castillo is an unusual (but oh, so pretty) addition to the spring garden. Large, star-shaped flowers clad in snowy white sparkle on sturdy stems atop clumps of grey-green foliage. Oh, and we can't forget to mention the delightfully sweet scent that emanates from the shimmering blossoms!

A native to South America, this twinkling variety may eventually be separated and categorized as an entirely new species. It's more vigorous than other members of the Ipheion clan, blooming in profusion from early to mid-spring. All you have to do is provide a location with full to partial sun for sensational results. Enjoy!

Large White Starflowers

The bulbs arrived well packaged and in great shape. They were reliable growers and were beautiful when they flowered. The leaves started poking through the ground in late winter (the 2022-2023 mid-Atlantic winter was warmer than usual), they started blooming in early March and were in flower for several weeks. Even though there wasn't much of fragrance (at least not any that I noticed) the flowers were so gorgeous that I couldn't be disappointed. I was very happy with the results and will plant more of these in the fall.
