White Anemone Bulbs For Sale | Mistral Plus Bianco Centro Nero

Mistral Bianco Centro Nero is here to prove that monochrome blooms are in, and after one look at its effortlessly trendy flowers, we can't argue! This Italian Anemone flaunts pure white petals surrounding a striking black center with delicate lash-like anthers.

The doe-eyed blossoms perch seamlessly atop long, sturdy stems and are surrounded by bunches of contrasting, ferny leaves. Plus, they make long-lasting cut flowers, prolific bloomers, and are disease resistant! This elegant beauty is truly a high fashion flower ready for its debut in the latest issue of Italian Vogue!

Tip: For the best cut flowers it is advisable to to collect the flower when it is well formed and the petal length exceeds the length of the corolla. Early morning cutting also creates a better quality flower and stem length.

Gorgeous and Uncommon!

These are one of my favorite flowers, but I suspect the cut flower industry has a tight grip on the inventory of single, black-centered, white-flowering Anemone coronaria, because it was very challenging to find corms for my own garden - Easy to Grow Bulbs seems to be one of the only sources for them, and this variety seems tremendously popular, because they go out of stock rapidly, but while planning my spring bulbs last autumn, I lucked out and was able to order several packages. After hydrating the corms, I divided them between three zones of my garden and a pot. Foliage emerged in mid winter and flowering began in late April, with the final blooms fading in early June. I live in a mild PNW Zone 8b Mediterranean climate with minimal snow, a slow transition into warm weather, and a fairly short summer with very little rain during the warm months, so I am curious to see how well these perform as perennials. The potted plants will spend their dormancy in a covered, unheated space, while I wait to see how the in-ground groups come back next year and hopefully thereafter. There is very little information online about long-term performance in garden beds, but they're beautiful enough that I'll happily replace them most years if necessary! My only complaints are that one corm was red-flowering, violating my black and white flower theme, and each corm produced fewer flowers than I expected, but neither are significant issues, and perhaps they'll come back stronger next year!

One of my 3 top favs.

Nothing beats a white anemone w/ a blue black center. These match with any color & look fantastic in bouquets! I buy these every year !

My anemone bulbs came in a timely fashion. I have not planted and started to grow them yet, but I am not worried too much as I’m sure they’re not as difficult as the ranunculus (a different shop) that I also bought; yikes hopefully all goes well with that. =) I will be very excited to see the bulbs come up this summer, especially since anemones are my favorite flowers.

None of these grew and I’m a pretty good gardener.
