Freesias are multicolored, perennial jewels from South Africa, loved for their exquisite fragrance, bright colors, and intriguing architectural form. Look for both single and double flower forms either in narrow, funnel-shaped blooms or flat flowers. One of the most popular cut flowers, freesia blooms in the spring and summer months in many colors including: Red, lavender, yellow, purple, pink, white, mauve, cream and orange. Hardy in zones 8b and above, Freesias can be grown as an annual in colder climates or in containers.
